ABOUT WAKEBID
Built for a Better Way to Buy and Sell PWCs
Why WakeBid exists
Buying and selling personal watercraft is fragmented across general marketplaces, local groups, dealerships, forums, and classified websites.
WakeBid was created specifically for PWCs.
We want buyers to be able to find the right ski, understand what they're looking at, compare real listings, and make a more informed decision.
We also want sellers to have a place designed around what they're actually selling — and if they don't know how to create a listing, WakeBid can help.
WakeBid came from real experience around personal watercraft — buying, repairing, selling, and seeing how difficult the process can be for both enthusiasts and first-time owners.
OUR GOAL
Build the marketplace we wish existed when buying and selling jet skis ourselves.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Meet the Founder

David Meier has spent years around personal watercraft — on the water, in the garage, and in the marketplace. He's bought skis that turned out to have hidden problems, sold skis to buyers who disappeared, and watched friends struggle with the same frustrating process on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and dealer lots.
After years of helping friends and fellow enthusiasts buy and sell jet skis, David realized the problem wasn't the skis — it was the platforms. Generic marketplaces don't ask for HIN numbers, compression readings, or service history. They don't help a first-time owner figure out what kind of ski they actually need. And they don't give sellers a way to show that their listing is honest and complete.
Wake Bid exists to fix that. It's a marketplace built specifically for personal watercraft — with the kind of transparency, verification, and support that general classifieds will never offer.
"I built Wake Bid because I was tired of watching good skis get sold on bad platforms — and good people get burned by bad information."
— David Meier, Founder
